This large impressionist oil painting is set in the Rue Norvins, Montmatre, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The Basilica of Sacr-Coeur (Sacred Heart) is located at the summit of the butte Montmartre, the highest point in the city. Sacr-Cur is a double monument, political and cultural, both a national penance for the defeat of France in the 1870 Franco-Prussian War and the socialist Paris Commune of 1871. The Sacr-Cur Basilica was designed by Paul Abadie.

The canvas size is 36 x 24. It is housed in a 46 1/2 x 34 1/2 x 4 3/4 decorative gold frame. The painting is signed in the lower left.  $2,400.
